Last month, Daryl Brouthgon chose our Premium Captain Party for his son’s 6th birthday in Farringdon and our entertainer – Sarah – pulled out all the stops to make sure that the children – and adults – had a birthday party to remember!
We asked Daryl about his Captain Fantastic experience and here’s what he had to say…
Where did you hold your party and why did you choose that venue in Farringdon?
We held our party at Farringdon Sports Hall, it was a good space for the kids and it also has a bar which is great to help the adults relax while the kids have fun!
What was the most important thing to consider when organising a party for your child?
Entertainment, everything else we could work around but definitely entertainment was the most important thing – especially with 42 kids to think about!
What made you choose Captain Fantastic to entertain at your party?
When I typed in children’s parties/entertainers, it was the first one that popped up which was a good sign. The reviews looked really good so that was a plus, and also the fact that you could see the kids parties and see what you get for your money so it’s great to justify the spend.
What was the most enjoyable part of the show?
It’s hard to choose one thing – everyone loved everything and I think that was the highlight. The kids AND the adults were raving about it before and after.
What makes Captain Fantastic different to other Children’s entertainment companies?
Even when I was choosing entertainment, it was between Captain Fantastic and another company. Speaking to Captain Fantastic and the team, everything was so easy, nothing was a problem. They were very accommodating and really worked around us, rather than the other way round.
What made the party particularly special?
In terms of the entertainment, I absolutely couldn’t fault the entertainer. There were 42 kids at the party and she worked non-stop and made my little boy feel special without leaving the other kids out.
She made sure all of the kids felt good and the music and tricks were great fun. As well as that, the food and cake was incorporated into the package again, couldn’t be faulted. Even with some of the children turning up late – it wasn’t a problem – she ensured that the two hours was fully accommodated and seemed like she didn’t want to leave!
Would you book with Captain Fantastic again?
I’ve already booked a second party for September for my other son and we’re all really looking forward to it! It is definitely worth the money, the kids were still talking about the last party for weeks afterwards – I would undoubtedly recommend to others!
