Christmas chocolate bark is easy to make and creates beautiful sweets or gifts. You can use so many different toppings and textures, It really is down to your preference. You can follow our guide or, get creative with edible glitter, sprinkles, jelly tots and other wonderful sweet and pretty things!

You will need.

  • 1 Large chocolate bar
  • 1 Flake bar
  • Chocolate Chips
  • Golden sprinkles
  • Non-stick foil

Step 1. First, melt your chocolate. Break the chocolate into small cubes and place into a heatproof bowl. Place the bowl over a pan of simmering water. Stir and move the chocolate about to encourage it to melt. You can use the microwave as an alternative.

Step 2. Using oven gloves or a cloth, pour your melted chocolate over your foil and spread it with your wooden spoon to make a slab.

Step 3. Cover with your toppings. I chose a flake and chocolate chips to give an authentic bark effect.

Step 4. Save your golden sprinkles until last to ensure you get the full shimmery effect!

Step 5. Place flat in the fridge for about an hour. Place in a freezer for 15 mins if you want to serve quickly!

Top tip logoWhen your bark has cooled down, snap into rough pieces and separate into small see through plastic or paper bags and seal with a bow. This will make the perfect, sweet addition to any table or as a gift!
