Day 12 Donate some unwanted toys to a charity

Sadly, some do not get to experience Christmas the way we do. It is a tough financial challenge for the best of us but many have to endure a tough Winter and simply just focus on survival.

But what is Christmas, if we can’t lend a little light to those in need?

A little bit of kindness goes such a long way. This is the perfect opportunity to teach children about giving and to look out for the less fortunate!

You can lend a hand in another way too! Christmas is the time of year that sends so many families and individuals into financial crisis! Food banks rely on donations to be able to supply those in crisis with emergency supplies! Find your local food bank here

Giving isn’t just for Christmas. Why not make a New Year’s resolution to go to the food bank once a month? Get the children to help you choose what to give and reiterate the message to help them learn about the cause!
