Everybody loves a pile of beautifully wrapped presents waiting for them under the tree on Christmas morning. This year, why not make yours extra special by getting the kids to design their own wrapping paper. This is a perfect Christmas activity for children of all ages as even the youngest child can join in.
Using a roll of craft paper or brown parcel paper, get the kids to draw, stamp and colour some Christmas designs. Anything from angels to Christmas trees, be as creative as you like. You could even add some glitter to give your presents that extra sparkle!
Potato stamps are a brilliant way for younger children to get involved. Cut star shapes into a halved potato and get stamping with some gold paint!
Even a simple halved potato dipped into paint and stamped can become a snowman, a Santa, a bauble or even a Christmas pudding! Let your child’s imagination take over!
Why not cut some squares from a piece of card and get the kids to print matching gift tags.
Once your paper has dried, wrap your gifts and finish with ribbon. You could use string instead for a rustic finish.
We would love to see what you have been up to! Post some fun pics to Facebook page, Instagram or Twitter using #CaptainChristmas.
