Confidence Club
Captain Fantastic has a new mission. We’re bringing all the fun and excitement from Captain Fantastic children’s parties to schools! Captain Fantastic’s Confidence Club is an after-school club where children have fun while developing their personal, social and emotional skills!
What is Confidence Club?
Captain Fantastic, takes children on a journey where they learn together and help with the many challenges of Space Academy!
Confidence club is run in schools, either as a breakfast club or an after-school club.
Each session lasts for 1 hour and sessions will build on what children learnt in previous weeks. Sessions will focus on the following themes, which have been shaped by national guidance on child learning and development:
- Dispositions and Attitudes –helping to get children interested and excited about their learning.
- Self Confidence and Self Esteem – building a sense of their own value and the value of others.
- Making Relationships –helping children learn to work together in a positive way and make good relationships.
- Behaviour and Self-Control – learning about right and wrong and “why” and how their actions can impact others.
- Self-Care – Developing independence and knowing who can help and support them in everyday life.
- Sense of Community – Respecting your own needs, views and culture whilst learning to appreciate the differences and similarities of other people in the community.
