Meet April’s Entertainer of the Month

Louis moved to London 5 years ago from Northampton where he was a member of the Royal and Derngate Theatre. In 2016 he spotted that Captain Fantastic was advertising for children’s entertainers and the rest, as they say, is history.

Hobbies? Football ( I’m a Man U supporter!), going to the cinema or the theatre.

Favourite school subject? Religious Education. I liked having a debate about people’s different points of view.

If you could invent a crisp flavour… It would be pineapple. It’s my favourite fruit, so why not make it into a crisp!

What do you think makes a good school disco?

The special effects. Go with all of them! Laser lights, smoke machine, bubbles, snow. Children love them and it makes the disco more fun. And games. Games work as good ice-breakers. Not everyone likes to dance, but everyone will want to join in with a game, whether its musical statues or a rockstar competition!

What kind of disco-goer were you as a child?

I was probably a bit silly, up to mischief and running around with my friends.

What song would have got you on the dance floor at the school disco?

Ooooh. I’d probably say something like the Fresh Prince of Bel Air. To be honest, I wasn’t really into music and dancing as a kid. That’s why it’s great to see discos these days, there is something for everyone!

And what about now? What song would get you on the dance floor these days?

Anything by Michael Jackson. And I really like that Bruno Mars song Treasure.

Cheers, Louis!
